The only publicly available video of Delta Force

1st SFOD-D (Delta Force) AKA - CAG (Combat Applications Group)

In the world of special operations, few units remain as elusive and secretive as the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D), commonly known as Delta Force or CAG. Unlike other elite military units, Delta Force operates under the highest levels of secrecy, with its existence never officially confirmed by the U.S. government.

However, in 2008, a rare video surfaced online, offering a glimpse into the training and operations of this highly classified unit. Originally intended as a private recruiting video, the footage quickly gained attention when it leaked onto YouTube during the height of the Iraq War. At the time, rumors circulated that the video had been created to help bolster Delta Forceโ€™s recruitment efforts, as the unit was reportedly undermanned. In some operations, Delta operators were even mixed with U.S. Navy SEALs to ensure full mission capability.

The video showcases various high-intensity training scenarios, including tactical driving, vehicle takedowns from a Little Bird helicopter, and multiple breaching techniques. Perhaps most intriguing for keen-eyed viewers is the glimpse of what appears to be one of the final exams for future Delta operators during their assaulter courses. Adding to the unique nature of the footage, the video is set to music from the Beastie Boys, KISS, and Billy Squier.

To this day, this remains one of the only publicly available videos featuring Delta Force operators in action. Take a look at this rare and fascinating glimpse into the world of Americaโ€™s most secretive special operations unit.
