Beretta APX is the new striker pistol first introduced to the XM17 Modular Handgun System Competition in 2017. It was designed to replace M9 (Beretta 92), a standard-issue weapon in the U.S. military.

Introduction

Beretta APX is a well-constructed full-sized striker-fired pistol. Easy to handle, smooth trigger pulls, and lower recoil makes it ideal for service use. The ergonomics of the grip and rugged machining of the slide make it a dream to fire. It is considered a quality handgun for a great price.

Design

The addition of the new Beretta APX semiautomatic pistol completes the full-size pistol portfolio. It makes Beretta one of the few manufacturers to offer full-size polymer and metallic framed handguns in both hammer and striker-fired operating systems.

Designed specifically for military and law enforcement operators, the Beretta APX has been put through extensive testing and evaluation at the professional end-user level. The result is a pistol that delivers superior durability and reliability, ergonomics, trigger, and modularity. Utilizing a removable, serialized chassis frame, the APX can be easily modified with replaceable grip frame housings and is simple to disassemble and maintain.

Each Beretta APX comes with three interchangeable backstraps so users can best fit their hands and preferences. The APX’s aggressive full-length slide serrations make slide manipulations easy under any conditions. The APX’s magazine release button can be easily reversed to accommodate right or left-handed use, and the slide stop is ambidextrous.

The Beretta APX’s trigger breaks at 6lbs and has a clear tactile and audible very short reset. Overall, the gun has an aggressive look and feels very good in my hand. The APX truly is the ultimate striker-fired pistol from Beretta.

No one writes whether it’s single action or double action anymore.

I have a Beretta APX, it is very comfortable and a joy to shoot. It is easy to keep on target for quick follow up shots. In addition if you prefer a manual safety on your striker fired pistol there is a conversion available that provides a new polymer lower frame with the required parts. The manual safety kit is approx $120.

I own this gun it is the most flat shooting easy to clean the I own the Legacy model, which is the one you see on the screen, those Metal protrusions on the slide you would think.
They would get in a way they don’t. It makes it so much easier to pull back with gloves. I just wish more companies. What offer aftermarket accessories for them?
Barata offers a lot and if you have the different sized slides.
You can switch out. The guns handle and slide. And then you could have the centurion version of it Without even having to buy a gun.
